#2 Reviewing the Room
You should take a look, as far in advance as possible, at the location and the setup of the space where you'll be making a presentation.
Items to note:
- Lighting
- Temperature
- Size of the room
- Seating arrangements
- Stage
- Podium
- Microphone(s)
- Projector
- Computer
- Flip chart, whiteboard
- Power source, extension cords
- Audience sightlines
- Camera location, if you are doing a video conference
- Movement limitations, if you are doing a video conference
#3 Self Evaluation for Media Interviews
- I researched the outlet and the reporter in advance.
- I anticipated questions and prepared answers.
- I focused on the interview, was punctual, and kept the stress level low.
- I delivered thoughtful, complete answers.
- I evaluated on the spot and added any value that I could.
